Add media to your content

1. Copy embed code from the source you want to embed
2. Click Embed Media icon in the editor

4. Click Insert

    Hi Terore,

have you accepted the full set of cookies on your community? If you haven’t accepted the full set of cookies we’re not allowed to show embedded media and we’ll only show a URL. I can see the video embedded in the post above :)

Just gonna slide in here for a sec!

I also note that if you decline all cookies on the inSided default cookie banner, that also breaks the media embed tool into thinking that nothing is allowed to be embedded. Just in case that helps somehow!

And yes, this is the error you’ll get.

Glad it worked! Did you receive the error because the cookies were not accepted or because the wrong URL was posted? When you use the wrong share URL you will get an error:

Note: When embedding media use the direct browser URL (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oxv6IRcuNaI) and not the embedded URL (https://www.youtube.com/embed/Oxv6IRcuNaI - mind the /embed/)

If its not listed above then it probably won’t work. But you can simply try for yourself by creating a new topic or comment, click the ‘...’ and select Embed media and drop the URL to the Medallia survey to see if it will embed :)

Yeah, that is easy way to test but the problem is that I dont have any Medallia survey to test yet 😁

Such a cool feature! We will be using such a cool feature on our community very soon!
I was wondering, is there a roadmap of further integrations, especially future music services that users can link to? :)

Unfortunately I don’t have a Medallia survey at hand to test this :(
